Camping at Horseshoe Farm
Opening June 2026
Get ready to experience camping as it should be — laid-back and completely your own adventure.
Launching in June 2026, Camping at Horseshoe Farm is all about bringing back the true spirit of camping. No set pitches. No strict rules. Just wide-open fields, fresh country air, and the freedom to create your perfect escape. All we ask is that you respect your neighbours and others on the farm and surrounding land.
Set on our 50-acre Somerset farm, surrounded by rolling countryside and starry night skies, this is the ultimate way to connect with nature, unplug from the everyday, and do things at your own pace.
Choose Your Spot. Set Up. Relax.
You get to pick your perfect pitch. Whether you prefer tucking yourself away in a quiet corner, setting up by the edge of a field with big open views, or gathering with friends for a mini festival vibe, the choice is yours.
Bring your own tent, campervan, or small live-in vehicle and make the space your own. It’s all about flexibility and fun.
The Vibe
We like to think of our camping field as a mini festival — without the crowds and queues.
- Campfires crackling as the sun sets
- Laughter and music drifting across the fields
- Kids running free and making friends
- Stargazing with zero light pollution
It’s simple, authentic camping — where you can completely unwind, explore, and reconnect.
Eco-Friendly Facilities
Keeping things sustainable is really important to us. Our facilities are low-impact and eco-conscious, designed to keep our land beautiful and green for future campers to enjoy.
- Composting drop toilets – eco-friendly and clean
- Solar-powered showers – warmed by the Somerset sunshine
- Drinking water taps available across the site
We keep things simple, natural, and close to the true camping experience.
On the Farm
You’ll be staying on a real, working farm — home to alpacas, lambs, pygmy goats, and our famous resident pigs, Apple and Mean Pig.
While the camping field has plenty of space for doing your own thing, you’re also welcome to get a taste of farm life:
- Meet the animals up close
- Join a farm tour
- Feed the baby lambs during lambing season (spring)
It’s the perfect balance of back-to-nature camping and a little touch of countryside charm.
What to Bring
Since this is a back-to-basics camping experience, you’ll need to bring everything you need for a comfortable stay, including:
- Tent or campervan setup
- Sleeping bags, mats, or airbeds
- Cooking equipment or camp stove
- Reusable water bottles and cups
- Torch or lantern (it gets really dark here — perfect for stargazing!)
We encourage campers to leave no trace and keep our land clean and beautiful.
Explore Somerset
Horseshoe Farm is perfectly placed for exploring Somerset’s stunning landscapes and attractions:
- 25 minutes to Glastonbury and its legendary Tor and Abbey
- 30 minutes to the Somerset coast
- 40 minutes to Cheddar Gorge
- Miles of scenic walking and cycling trails
- Traditional country pubs and local farm shops
Whether you want to venture out or simply stay put and soak up the views, there’s plenty to see and do.
